This hotel is a gem! the location is great. It's in a quiet neighborhood, but still within walking distance to the center. Secondly, the staff is friendly and attentive - they'll make sure you have everything you need. Thirdly, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, with either 2 king or 2 queen beds, and the breakfast is delicious with plenty of options to choose from.

No major complaints, a few mosquitoes around but they do provide citronella sticks.

Our room at Casa Maria Elena was spacious and comfortable, with two queen beds that provided a firm and extremely comfortable sleep. The tile floors in the room and bathroom were clean and well-finished, adding to the overall comfort. We were grateful for the propane catalytic heater in the cold mornings and evenings. The breakfast served in the main lodge was excellent, starting with warm rolls and coffee, a plate of fresh fruit, and a delicious huevos rancheros. The location in a quiet neighborhood with excellent security was a plus, and the well-kept grounds with swing seats were a nice touch. The short walk to the main square was enjoyable. we had a great stay at Casa Maria Elena.
